Quick EA Question

Is the acceptance rate for EA applicants to USC higher than RD applicants? I've heard its slightly easier to get in through EA than RD.

On the other hand, I've heard the EA pool of applicants is more competitive than that of RD. Can you guys provide any insight into this?

University of Southern California does not have EA, only one decision deadline. Perhaps you are thinking of another school. However, if you get your application in by Dec 1, you will be considered for their many generous merit scholarships.

Hm, thats weird! Bigfuture.collegeboard.org shows November 1 for USC Early Action.

Nexus, College Board can make errors. There is no EA at SC at this time. If you apply by December 1 your application will be considered for highly competitive merit scholarships.

Stamps Scholarships
Mork Scholarships
Trustee Schlarships
Presidential Scholarships

All of the above require an interview as part of the process of selection. Around 27,000 seniors applied for the merit scholarships last year.

Other merit scholarships which do not require an interview are:

National Merit
Dean’s
Associates
Town & Gown
Jewish Leadership
Topping Scholarships (Community service, academic and financial need)
and others listed on the admissions website…

Got it. Thanks! I’ll try to submit USC app by Nov 30.
