Hey when i'm filling the common app, nowhere does it ask me if i'm applying for need-based aid. All I have to do is submit the CSS Profile? How do they know I intend to apply for aid?

They don’t ask anyone if they are applying for financial aid on the common app because they are need-blind. You have to do a couple of things, not just the CSS Profile. You can see what you have to do for financial aid through this link: [Regular Decision Freshman Applicants 2013-14 | Financial Aid](http://www.finaid.cornell.edu/apply-aid/prospective-applicants/regular-decision-applicants)
They will know when they receive all of this financial aid information.
Good luck!
