Quick question about Updating the UC application

I am a santa barbara city college student trying to transfer to UCLA, UCSD or UC Berkeley for Chemical Engineering. My GPA is 3.63 and I have all the requirements and much more for transfering.

I plan to take Summer Quarter at UCSB to get ahead in Organic Chemistry no matter what school I get in. If I include this in my update application would it make it stronger or weaker? Would the other school think UCSB is my favorite just because I plan to take summer quarter there or it has no influence? Would it make it stronger because they will see that I plan to take summer classes to get ahead? Bottom line, should I include this when I update my application or not?

I applied to UCSB but I have no intention on transfering there, I just wanna take the summer quarter so I have time to spend with my friends before moving somewhere.

Thank you guys

Do you need O chem in order to transfer? If so, then you should include it so they don’t reject you based on lack of requirements. If not, then I wouldn’t add it. I don’t think it will hurt or help you, but that’s my opinion.

I’m at UCSB right now trying to get out as well haha UCLA and Berk are very different in terms of people, what are you leaning towards?

SBCC I heard the chicks are pretty hot there! (i am from santa ynez just over the hill) From what I know all the UC’s do not take classes taken the summer before transferring into consideration. That is why they always say complete the pre reqs by spring. I would also check out whether taking a class at a UC while effect you getting into school at another UC. I have heard that once you are accepted at one UC you can not take classes from a 4 year uni, only from the CC you are transferring too. If you do that could void your acceptance. This is what I have heard so dont kill the messenger.
