Alright, I'm taking a summer course to fulfill my UC Analytical Writing Requirement, it's scheduled to end on August 16th. I'm arriving at Sixth College this fall. Incoming students are supposed to set their classes for the fall from "mid to late" August.

Now, realistically, UCSD probably will not receive my transcript until maybe August 20th or later, if I used a Rush service. They will have to validate the transcript and add it to my incoming credits.

To the question! Should I enroll in SDCC1 (the basic writing class) when the time comes for registering my classes, and then drop the class during the first week (my transcript should be validated before but yeah)?

OR

Should I not enroll in the class, and build my schedule as if I have the requirement met?

SHORT VERSION

My cc class ends on august 16th, my registering period for ucsd is from mid to late august since I'm an incoming freshman.
Should I sign up for SDCC1 anyways? Then drop it once I see the school has my transcript from my CC?
