<p>I'm applying to Cornell and i was wondering what you all would think was a better topic. I already wrote an essay on football and how it has developed character (work ethic, dedication, and leadership). Do you think i should stick with that one because it's a decent hook for Cornell (They suck at football and i'm a good student athlete) or should i write an essay more business based since i plan on going into the AEM program?</p>
<p>Write whichever one allows you to be the most personal, detailed, honest and revealing in your essay.</p>
<p>Are you interested in playing football there? If yes, have you contacted the coach?</p>
<p>If you are in touch with the coach, then you need not use your essay to convey that you play football. </p>
<p>Use the essay to convey you. There is ample opportunity elsewhere in the application to convey your major, your possible sport, etc.</p>
