I'm currently slated to take 18 credits this semester, with Philo6. However, I've heard from quite a few people that Philo6 is a pretty difficult class, and one that is quite hard to get an A in. To that end, would it be wise to take Philosophy P/NP (it doesn;t count as R& C anyway...)

Thoughts?

I would reccommend going to the first couple of classes and feel it out and see how difficuilt it really is going to be with you. If you think it will be very hard and hurt your GPA, then you might want to drop it or take it P/NP...its up to you, but you might just take another class altogether that you are interested in if its too hard...IMO

Well, no, I'd really like to take the class :D
So when I sign up officially, I should just keep it at letter grade. Allright, that was what I was gonna do originally anyway.

Yeah you can always P/NP later; i believe the first 5 weeks is the drop period while i think its like the first 9-weeks that is the whether you want to P/NP period.

You will have no idea what your grade will be until you get your first paper back. Fortunately the deadline for changing to P/NP will be after that date, most likely. You might also consider just auditing the class, if you don't need the credits.
