Quick questions and not so quick question?

My school requires 2 years of P.E. and unfortunately, with the schedule I want, I can't fit in that. So I'll have to drop Spanish 3 AP or Band during my junior year to make room for that. I was thinking I could drop Spanish, take it elsewhere and take the AP test. What do I do?? I also won't have room for Physics which I want to take so bad, but I really don't want to drop band for it because I'm so close to getting section leader. I really hope the have health/Computer concepts in the summer so I can free up my schedule. So which should I drop, band or Spanish? Do you think they'll let me take the AP test if I just take spanish AP elsewhere?

And the not so quick question about your high schools, how many classes do you guys get to take in the summer?

Your school only requires two years of PE? Ahh I’m jealous— I was stuck with gym class for four years .

*Do you think they’ll let me take the AP test if I just take spanish AP elsewhere? *

They (by that I mean the school) will let you take it if you ask to do so, whether or not you take AP spanish elsewhere.

Wow, I feel kinda sad for you then. P.E. is by far my absolute worst subject. People I’ve talked to say that their school only required one year, I’m really jealous of THEM! Ok, So I think if I save up enough money I might be able to afford a Spanish tutor so I can learn Spanish and since my school has a large Hispanic population I’ll be able to apply it easily. Also, I don’t really know a lot about this stuff but where do you take AP tsets? Is it like SAT testing or more like state testing? Does the teacher make it or district or state? Or is it a national thing or a college board thing? Sorry if I sound ignorant, it’s because I am about all this. Because if I could take AP tests without actually taking the course at high school that would be GREAT because I’ve been taking music theory elsewhere if I could take the AP test for it, it would definitely be a plus.

As far as PE goes, I would suggest either taking it during the summer OR taking it your senior year. I took gym my sophomore and junior year just to get it done and overwith. I HATE gym!

I’m not sure what exactly your school offers, but if you have a studyhall, you may be able to still take Spanish. However, you would have to do the majority of the learning and such on your own.

I took PE my freshman year, and I know someone taking it over the summer online with Florida Virtual School, haha.

I only take college classes in the summer, and I can take 6. There are two summer semesters at the local state college, and you’re allowed to take 3 classes each semester. If I really wanted to, I could get it signed off to take more, but I don’t. I took 3 last summer (Eng Composition I, American History I, American History II), all in the second summer semester. This summer, I took 3, 2 (English Lit: after 1798, American Lit: after 1865) in the first semester, 1 (Sociology) in the second semester. I have my final test for Sociology tomorrow or Tuesday, then I’m done.

As for band or Spanish, which interests you more?
