Does WashU grade with +/- scale? Or do they use the flat A=4.0, B=3.0... etc. And, does visiting the school really make a difference in acceptance? (showing interest...)

washu is one of the schools that weigh interest very heavily, especially when you are either under or over qualified.

do you mean +/- on your grades at washu, or how they look at your grades for acceptance?

+/- grades at WashU

WashU gives out +/- grades, but the engineering school is the only school that gives weighted GPAs for them (B+ = 3.3, B = 3, B- = 2.7), whereas in ArtSci, etc, B+,B,B- are all 3.0.

The business school gives out weighted GPAs.

Actually, Artsci does waited grades while the engineering school does not (A+,A, A- are all a 4.0 in the engineering school)

wow, how did i manage to get that backwards? it always made me so happy that my B- in engineering were still a 3.0 :). You're right... engineering is the only one that doesn't have them.
