Quick Supplement Question

In BU’s supplement area, there’s this question:

If you indicated in the Common Application that you are not a United States citizen, please provide responses to any applicable questions in this section.

Country of Birth: ______________

If you do not currently hold a United States Permanent Resident or Immigration Visa (green card), is one pending? (Y/N?)

I was not born in the United States, but I do have a green card. Do I check “yes” or "no for the question? It asks is one pending, which is “no,” but I’m afraid they will regard me as an international student.

Thanks all.

Let’s think this one out.

“Please provide responses to any applicable questions in this section.” This means that you’re supposed to provide responses to any applicable questions in the section.

“I do have a green card.” This means you have a green card.

“If you do not currently hold a United States Permanent Resident or Immigration Visa (green card)…” This means that the question is not applicable if you have a green card.

So if you’re only supposed to provide responses to applicable questions, and the question is not applicable…Hopefully you can figure it out from there.
