I want to be an education major and I am looking into quinnipiac university. however I heard that their classes for this major is on a completely different campus about 15 minutes away. is this true? if so is it worth even looking at the school? because that seems like a hassle especially if I don’t have a car.
You should probably put this on the QU board since it is school specific, but I’d imagine they run shuttles and it wouldn’t be a big problem.
HI @amc0414
For students in the MAT (masters in education) program the education classes would be on the North Haven campus. These classes begin in the junior year so you first two years you would have all of your academics on the main campus. Keep in mind for the education program it is advised to have your own transportation because beginning in your junior year (and throughout the rest of the program) you will be traveling to the local school districts to work in classrooms. Since most students have their own transportation we do not offer shuttles to the campus. We have polled current students who are at our North Haven Campus and very few indicated they would use a shuttle if offered.
If interested I can put you in touch with current students in the program to get their take on the logistics, just email me. Thanks and good luck in your search!
