Looking to major in health science (QU) / biology (FU) so I can figure out what health profession I want as a career. These are my top two schools and I've been accepted to both with scholarships. I have visited both and could see myself at either college. Does anyone have any experiences, tips, or comments they could share with me about Quinnipiac University or Fairfield University (ex. academics, campus, atmosphere) that could help me make my decision?

I looked at both schools with my S (who did not end up at either place. In general, my impression was that Fairfield’s academics were somewhat more serious and that the student body there was preppier as compared to QU.

Specifically I would: 1) Consider what major you really want. If you know you want to go into one of the health science fields such as PT, OT, PA then I’d go to QU – we got the sense that those areas were very strong at QU. 2) Consider which student body you felt more comfortable with 3) Consider if you want a Jesuit school with its large core curriculum or not (or if it matters to you at all) 4) Consider any major price differences after scholarships.

Both are fine schools. Go where your interest lies and pay attention to your gut feelings. Congratulations on getting onto your top choices!
