Quit Job?

So I currently work at Old Navy but I'm thinking of quitting because I don't really have time to work anymore because of school, sports, etc.
Would quitting now, soon after the start of senior year, hurt my college admissions chances at all?

No, it’s reasonable that school takes a priority.

omg racheljs I work at Old Navy too!

My parents really want me to quit and work on college apps, but I don’t really want to.

I doubt it would hurt your admissions chances. “work experience” is usually pretty low on the list for things college admissions officers look for.

I’m just asking them to cut back my hours a bit and if I don’t sleep I’ll get everything done :)

You can explain this in the additional information section of your app if it really bothers you. Otherwise, just quit and move on. Work isn’t exactly like an EC, where dropping it your senior year will demonstrate lack of commitment.

no, it won’t hurt you

and seriously, dawg, do what’s best for you presently, not what you THINK colleges MIGHT want to see.

sick and tired of people doing stuff for college when it hurts them in the present…
