Quite confused about Campus Accounts Receivables System (CARS)

So i dont remember setting up a CARS account, but the last few transactions i've made (like paying for the FPF CalSO in August) have been billed through CARS. Do i just set up a savings/checking account to pay for these fees, but i cant see that i've been billed for these things seperately, so is it just all bundled in as one amount due?

And does anyone remember if the housing app or SLR was paid through CARS or credit card.., makes me wonder if thats why my status on Bear Facts is still "NO SLR"...

You're supposed to set up a saving/checking account for CARS. If you received financial aid and it went through, then the payments will first draw from your financial aid and you will see $0.00 for payments which you can ignore. After that you'll just start paying from the saving/checking account you set up.

do we need to constantly check CARS online to see what money we should pay and when we should pay it, or does berkeley notify us by mail what dues are owed when?

It e-mails you when a new CARS bill is posted to your account.
