Ralph Lauren was borin' before I wore it

Who else is pumped to possibly be shopping at the Polo Rugby at Gtown
If I get in im there every weekend

Eh, if there's one place that I don't know if I'll fit in very well at Georgetown its in the clothing department. I'm not huge on preppy clothing, I prefer Good Will.

The Rugby store is very good place to shop and the cafe has great burgers.

beyonddd excited, i love rugby, along with everything ralph lauren, jcrew, vineyard vines...legit one of my big reasons of why im in love with georgetown, everyone dresses so cute!

j crew and brooks brothers are some of my fav stores

in that case, if you get in regular (good luck!!!!!) we're going shopping together, no doubt.

Is there any cheap stuff around the area? One of the GAAP people I talked to mentioned the Pentagon city mall via the Metro. Is shopping/dining in the area economical?

The Pentagon City mall, for me, was disappointing. You have your Macys and Nordstrom. They have an Apple stores, which is great for all your mac and ipod fans. But over all, I thought it was just an average mall. But the metro stops literally in the mall (basement fl). I have heard that Tyson's Corner Malls are much better.

Heh, yeah really, I don't have that kind of money to throw around. Don't worry, DC, we can go bargain hunting together! :)

i am in love with ralph lauren clothing

there were quite some good georgetown sales before christmas...or just look on the sales racks if you want less expensive things--other than that, I guess people see G-town as pricey shopping/food

so Gtown does dress polostyle?
hm... not too fond of the prep. but rummaging at thrift stores, that's fun! DC is huge tho and has its share of hipsters, so they've gotta have good thrifting places.

and omg there are 2 Tyson's malls. very very large. even larger than that (though the malls where I'm from just aren't that big), and i even got lost because the corridors look the same. :C
thank god i have cousins in VA to guide me

Pentagon City's really nice, and Tyson's is the best mall I've ever seen, but it's a complete pain to get out there.

im pretty sure you can find whatever you want, if you look hard enough

any Club Monaco, Banana Republic, Hilfiger, Lacoste, Burberry, Ferragamo, and Porsche Design nearby?

more than likely, its DC and philly not too far away
not a big fan of hilfiger, ralph lauren is the way to go

there is Banana Republic and Lacoste right in Georgetown, and I'm pretty sure there is a Burberry maybe 15-20 blocks away, but I'm not sure about the rest, you'd have to look on their websites to see where they have locations.

oh my goodness is everyone at georgetown so obsessed about looking like a prep?

I'm from a very preppy town and am so sick of the rich kid attitude; is georgetown really preppy, or is it pretty diverse? I love georgetown because it is perfect for what I want to do, but I'm not sure about the students

don't worry, it's pretty diverse. We do have a lot of preppy kids, but it's definitely not the majority. Barely any of my friends at Georgetown would be considered preppy at all.

yea the preppy attitude is the only thing keeping me from sending in my deposit in right now.

my most expensive shirt is 12 bucks, and i'm rather proud of it.
