1) does it look odd if I substitute a bad a.p. Score (ex: 3 in biology) with an outstanding sat ii score (ex:780 on biology)?

2) do senior year grades get factored into your GPA?

3) what is the benefit of adding a resume to your extracurriculars?

4) Can I submit the october 27,2012 ACT scores to my common app with early action?

These are relatively easy questions, please answer if you can.

You self-report AP scores. You don’t have to report the 3 if you don’t want to.

Schools require you send in your mid-year grades in senior year, so I assume they factor them in - if only to see that you didn’t slack off. They will also look at your final transcript at the end of senior year and your acceptances can be withdrawn if your grades have dropped (although a warning is more common for a small drop).

The benefit of a resume is debatable. Some people think it helps. I think it’s just extra paper for ad coms who already have too much paper and know that the important ECs and awards can be fit into the space allotted on the application. The unimportant one are…unimportant. The risk of a resume is trivializing the important things by adding a lot of ‘best student of the month’ stuff that’s nice only if you have nothing else.

And every school has it’s own rules about which test scores it will accept for EA. You’ll have to check each school for their policy.

Thank you for this useful information. I can’t wait to finish the common app!
