Rank VS Cumulative Rank, Anybody?

I'm just curious if anybody knows what that means. On the guidance couselor report, a section asks you the rank, then asks you for a cumulative rank...what's the difference??? Is it the same? Any input would be appreciated.

if your school has those two different ranks, then probably just rank would be determined by unweighted GPA, and cumulative rank would be determined by weighted GPA u know with all the Honors AP extra points.

rank is your rank relative to everyone else, and is usually expressed as a fraction. e.g. 6/395 (ranked 6th out of 395 students)

your cumulative gpa shows what grades you've been getting. if your school follows the 4.0 scale, having a cumulative gpa of 4.0 means that you have an A average across all your classes.

thx to both of you for the input, but soul, just to let you know, the Columbia guidance part of the app says specifically "RANK" AND your "CUMULATIVE RANK", i think you misread, but either way thx to both of you, especially kms0484, i think that cleared me up.

Hello! Everybody!

Thx for sharing!
