Hello there guys!
i’m an indian student studying in the cbse board.I have a sat score 1450 and soccer is pretty much my only extracurricular. My grade 10th pefcentage was 84% although my class 11 grade percentage was 64% (this was the average in my school).I have taken every possible measure to upbring my class 12 percentage and aggregate of my first two scores is 90%.Could anyone rate my chances at University of Washington st louis , purdue, University of British Columbia, ohio state university. Also i’ll be looking for scholarships
To be honest, you seem like you’d be accepted to any one of those schools with a good chance, especially UW, and British columbia. The only one I’d say would be more of a hard shot is Ohio state and that’s ONLY because it’s a super good school but even THEN I’m pretty sure you’ll get into any of those. A scholarship would be harder at Ohio state as well since it’s (duh) a state school with many people. So this is also going to sound a bit wild but as a minority applying to Predominantly white institutions, (I’m also Indian and black) admissions people often look at minorities with great stats as a gold mine. Although they’ll probably never admit it. I’m not saying the standard is lower or that white people are being “cheated” out of fair admissions, I’m saying since there’s almost always a grossly disproportionate ratio of Caucasian students to minority students, they’ll love your stats. Your SAT which I’m assuming is on the new scale, is VERY good. So you have great chances but I should also mention it’s truly not always about stats. Schools want to see a student with a unique way of thinking or someone who makes connections to their studies outside of the classroom. They want to see passion and curiosity. You can have all the perfect stats in the world but no one wants an ultimately boring and useless thinker at their school. Since I don’t know your personality, I can’t judge that aspect!
