Rate my dorm/dining choice s'il vous plait!

Hey guys,

I've been admitted to Penn CAS Class 2016 I have yet to visit campus so I formulated my opinion of the dorms based on previous reviews on CC.

Here's my ideal type of dorm ranked on level of importance(descending)
-close to freshman classes
-meet other freshmen
-Cleaniness
-A/C
-Safety
-Dining facility

Also, for dining
-I normally eat 3-5x(depends on workload) /day---large meals
-I don't want to cook if I can avoid it

My ranking---please correct me
1) Ware, Fisher Hassenfield, and Riepe(Quad) a/c. freshman, community
2) Kings Court/ English
3) freshment experience high-rise
4) Stouffer/Mayer
5) Gregory-far+depressing?

Dining
1) Balanced eating plan
2)eat any time
3)best food fit

Also, does anyone know if we get assigned room-mates if we don't have one already?

If anyone else is looking for a room-mate---pm me-- if interested in having a non-smoking, non-snoring, non-teeth-grinding, clean, sane, awesome room-mate ;D

Thank you!

For your dining plan, I’d recommend the one with the most dining dollars and the least meal swipes (I don’t remember what it’s called.) The dining dollar food is significantly better than the meal swipe food in the dining halls. With that plan, you still get more than enough meal swipes for the semester.

Your housing ranking looks good, but if you want to do a residential program (like the Freshman Experience program in Harrison, which I highly recommend,) you need to list it as your first choice. If you don’t get in to the program, the computer then looks at your other choices (and I think at that point it’s quite unlikely you’ll get into the quad, but I’m not 100% sure. Perhaps someone else might know a bit more about how it works…)

Liberty Meal Plan without a doubt.

Hill should be somewhere high on this list despite no AC. IDK if Mayer is available to Freshman.
