So, I was thinking about taking Intensive Japanese for my language this fall, but I noticed in the course guide that there was only Intensive Japanese I and there was no II... Hm... There was for spanish, german, and french... Does that mean that you can't gain proficiency in Japanese?? Oh- and also it said something about having the consent of the instructor required... Ah! I'm so confused.. But anyway.. If anyone has any info, please let me know!

Call the R C and ask. They have lots of intensive language courses.

There is both intensive Japanese I and II, although I believe that because the Japanese classes are so small, they only offer I 1st semester, and II 2nd semester. I would recommend calling the RC though to check on that. Also, are you an RC student...because if not, intensive language might be near impossible for you to take.

KB

Hm.. that's interesting. Thanks. I will be in the RC this fall, so hopefully I won't have any problems with signing up for the class. By the way... do you know how good the intensive Japanese language program is?? I'm debating whether or not I should just continue on with Spanish... choices, choices....

If you are doing intensive language, its going to be challenging no matter what you do...challenging and rewarding at the same time. That being said, having a backround in Spanish will make things easier...Japanese will probably seem rather hard only because neither you nor any of your classmates will likely have any backround in it. But don't be afraid of it...Japanese still rocks...
