RD 2013 Anxiety Thread

hey all
I posted on here way in the beginning, but ECs got the better of me and I've been neglecting the boards
ANYWAY, just wondering where everyone's been accepted/rejected so far? Where you're still waiting to here from?
As of tonight, I've been accepted to Sarah Lawrence, Mount Holyoke, and Simmons.
Still waiting on Barnard (!), Wellesley, Bryn Mawr, and Bates.

Good luck ladies!!

is bryn mawr really good? I thought about applying before but changed my mind rofl

So far...

Accepted: Tulane, Fordham, Goucher, NYU, New College of Florida, Brandeis, Muhlenberg
Waitlisted: Macalester
Still Waiting for: Barnard (!!!!), Tufts, BU, F&M, Oberlin

I can't believe I've already heard from most of my schools. I don't know what I'll do when I'm not waiting anymore and have to make a decision.

I'm not one of the more active people on this thread but hey, better late than never, I guess.

As of right now I've been accepted to McGill, SUNY New Paltz, University of Rochester, Smith, and American, and I've gotten a likely letter from Bryn Mawr... still waiting on UChicago, Wellesley, Barnard (:D), Oberlin, BU, and Vassar.

^ DAMN that's a lot of schools!

Bryn Mawr is really good - it's also a women's college. I decided not to apply (though it would have been a match for me... I think?) because it's not near a city, and I need men! :p It's a really awesome school though.

I'm waiting on all of my schools, lol. I've been accepted to my state school (Rutgers) and its honors program though! :D Plus I've got a full tuition scholarship there (on merit).

Accepted: Clark U. and Mary Baldwin with big scholarships
Still Waiting for: Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Trinity College, Connecticut College and Holy Cross

Welcome to all the new lurkers! Glad you are posting!

So far:

accepted: University of Alabama Honors with a full ride+laptop+perks, and Tulane honors with a (surprisingly) decent FA package.

waiting: Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, Swarthmore, Williams, Boston University, and Yale

Yale was my #1, but my supplement essay is horrific. I don't even have a decent excuse. I wanted to get in so badly that I stressed over the supplement for days and scrapped everything that I wrote. In the end, I ended up just tacking on an old essay I wrote for my English class which kinda sorta fit the prompt. I'm still pretty ****ed with myself.

After Yale...honestly, I would be delighted to get acceptance letters to Barnard or Wellesley or Bryn Mawr or Swarthmore. Yale was my #1, but I still LOVE those four, so... And yes, Barnard is usually my #1 (post-Yalefail).

Eh...and now I'm writing too much, sorry.

Welllllll....I DO have 1300+ on the SAT. BUT, I don't have a 3.7+ GPA. (3.67 UW, actually.) So....there ya go! Heh.

Accepted: Smith, MHC.
"Unlikely": Wellesley (math and science is their thing, so.....unsurprising)
Rejected: Yale EA (knew it was coming, but went for it anyways!)
Waiting for (keep in mind, I had a fee waiver, so this isn't as dramatic as it looks): Vassar, Barnard, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Bryn Mawr, a few Ivies (for lolz), Georgetown SFS, Dalhousie, Acadia.

S'gonna be a loooong two weeks.

I just got the Johnson Scholarship at Washington an Lee - full ride :D

Accepted: U.Chicago (EA), UT (Plan II Honors)
Waiting on: Wellesley (likely letter), BU, U.Penn, Barnard, Rice and Hopkins (but I really doubt I'm gonna get into anymore)

Update: totally just got wait-listed at Rice. lol my prediction's coming true :(

I'm getting really nervous because I realize that there really aren't that many places I want to go. I do have 1300+ SATs and over a 3.9 unweighted so I feel like it isn't that unlikely...but I still feel like I probably won't get in.

Accepted: University of Puget Sound, Kenyon, Macalester, Franklin College Switzerland (hee!), UCLA, UC Davis, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara
Waiting on: Barnard!!!!!, Wellesley, Columbia, Brown, Harvard
(hellllllllllllllllllllllllla schools, je sais)

And agracof, your chances are awesome! Have hope! Hope is good! :)

^ UCLA! That's AWESOME!

Hi Everyone. I am new to this thread, but very excited/hopeful of the possibility of being admitted to Barnard too! Just saw this on the Barnard Web Site:

"Beginning Saturday morning, March 28, you will be able to log in and learn more about admitted student programs, and to RSVP for the event/s of your choice."

No doubt we will have decisions in hand this week!

Good luck to all!!!

Thanks! :)
I definitely want to get out of CA (don't get me wrong, I love it to death), but if I have to stay it'll probably be LA (ooh, rhymetastic).

Welcome CollegeBoundLiz!

And AVHFBAGHLBNKLJKGOMG. It's great to have some concrete info, but ack! Scary!

Franklin! I'm taking classes there this summer! Hah, small world.

CollegeBoundLiz, you are now my hero.

Now, time to freak out and cry while I wait.

ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: THE SECOND YOU GET YOUR EMAILS PLEASE POST ON HERE. I WILL BE REFRESHING ON MY PHONE EAGERLY.

I swear before it said that people would be able to RSVP on March 30th. Hmm...

Did Barnard change the info or am I going insane? :p

Ahhh!!! squaregirl, that's so cool! Yeah, they just sent me some emails and I kind of ignored them (Switzerland, yeah right sort of thing) but then one day I was just all "why not?" and looked it up and totally fell in love. And then I found out a girl who lives THREE HOUSES AWAY goes there. It has, what? 400 people or something? Weird! And then yesterday my mom and I went to this '91 babies moms group reunion thing and I asked one of the girls what she was doing next year and she said she wanted to go to school in Switzerland. And again, I was like: What?! No way, Franklin? Yes indeedy. Small world for sure. Oh gosh, rambling! Sorry! :P
