Wondering if BC has an admitted eagle day or something equivalent for those accepted regular decision? D has not visited BC and I would want to send her solo to check it out if admitted.

[First-Year Students - Boston College](http://www.bc.edu/content/bc/offices/fye/orientation/firstyear.html)

^that link is about orientation, so it’s not really relevant.

But yes, i’m almost positive there are rd admittted eagle days in april

Thanks georgie - I cannot find anything other than eagle day for ED kids :(

There will probably be an admitted eagle day for the RD in early April. If you Google Admitted Eagle day 2011, you will see it was on April 7, 2011. The EA Admitted Eagle Day wasn’t posted until after the letters were sent. When do RD students hear?

thanks offtoBC12!!! RD is by April 1st, I believe. Hopefully the visit day won’t interfere with play-off games.

Admitted Eagle Day for RD students will be Sunday, April 15 and again Sunday, April 22. And there’s going to be an Honors Day on Saturday April 14

Thanks - also, would love to go with D, but I am considering saving the $ and missing out on seeing it. Was wondering if BC has shuttles and potential for an overnight on campus the night before. Has any other kid flown in solo that can share how it went (or know someone)?

BC does setup busses to move visitors around the campus and to parking on the Brighton lot, but I don’t think that was your question.

And no, no overnights at this point. (Just too many kids.)

So, it looks like if I wanted to send my D solo, she’d need to taxi (too young to rent a car) from the airport to campus - do the events - taxi back to catch a flight (or stay in a hotel if time becomes an issue to do all that in one day)

Not that she cannot do that - just trying to know what the options are prior.

Thanks!!!

If money is an issue, the subway (“T”) works great and is easy to take to downtown hotels and to the airport. The Green Line route B (for Boston College) stops across the street from campus.

Many thanks for that, bluebayou!!! I guess if I am not going, so much $ will be saved, maybe a taxi is best? How far is the airport-campus trip (in cab dollars)?

With tip & tolls, taxi is ~$45-50 one-way. (The T is $2.00.)
