RD APPLICANTS! : let's talk

congrats to everyone. i'm actually stuck on my PLME essays now. gahhhh ><<<<

I was at Brown for the summer@brown. i loved it.
Time of my life!!!
I think the open curriculum is a great idea. That is the unique thing about the school. Higer education should be like that. Not otherwise.
Applied to Binghamton like a lot of you guys did. Hope that tis thread keeps on till forever, Hope that we meet each other at Brown. LOVE YOU ALL!

i kept thinking 'boy i'm going to miss all these dreadful times having to analyze myself and put it into words'

then i finished my apps and realized i don't miss a thing. i hate college apps. period. haha

but now i hate the waiting even more. especially when colleges dont TICK when they get your materials. so its like got it? no? huh!?

yes. and that totally made sense because my brain is totally working after writing all those essays lol~

but basically its just. i hate waiting. ahhhhhhh apprehension.

FINISHED MY APPLICATION!!!! woooo finished everything everything is in, final grades are sent off... feels so good

was to scared to apply ED cause I've never visited so didn't know if I could commit myself to some place I had never been....

lol congrats :)

yeah i dindt early either, cuz i really really realyyyyyyyyy want to go to PU. and htey dont early. :S

I got into georgetown EA

applying to ivies + new paltz suny, duke, hopkins, chicago, and others that I'm forgetting right now

brown is certainly one of my top choices

I did visit, it was one of my favorite campuses

majoring in classics

I feel confident about my chances because brown accepts a decent number from my school each year and i am certainly one of the top applicants from my school

SUBMITTED!!! yayayay. now the waiting begins.
except i still have to submit other apps. yay procrastination and wierd supplements.

God, I hate how we have to wait 'til April...

Applied to Loyola Chicago EA. I got in, it was a safety

I haven't visited due to financial restrictions

Academic Interests: Neuroscience really really interests me. As does psychology, but it's similar to neuroscience. And I love to write! I really like math, too. Random, I know.

Other schools: Columbia, Barnard, Vassar, Swarthmore, Wesleyan, Emory, McGill, Tulane, Skidmore. Even more random, I know!

^wow your academic interests mirror mine

-I applied to Yale SCEA, and was deferred
Already accepted to UConn on full scholarship
-Medicine, and I am applying to the PLME
-I am also applying to Johns Hopkins, Dartmouth, UPenn, Princeton, and Cornell

Is it just me or have I fallen in love?

I want the close knit community and devoted faculty of a liberal arts college. However, I want the numerous research opportunities, intricacies of city life, and amazing diversity of a major university. With Brown, I get both.

I want a university with around 6,000 - 10,000 students. Brown University has APPROXIMATELY 8,000 STUDENTS.

I want a city, not too small, but not too large, and guess what? Providence is just PERFECT.

I want an ivy-league school with prestige, but I wanna enjoy life and have fun. Brown's laid back atmosphere and vivaciousness penetrates the entire campus. I must have a beautiful campus overlooking a city -- ALL BROWN. I must have diversity and cross-cultural interaction with boundless possibilities -- ALL BROWN. I must have a **** load of majors to choose from -- all taught by amazing, globally renowned professors.

I must go to school where a biochemistry major can take a fine arts course, where I can take a course in Germanic history with the pass/fail system, and where I am free -- free to explore and grow intellectually. I must go to a school with an extremely high preprofessional grad school acceptance rate (whether law, business, medical, etc...). Last but not least, I must go to a school where the quality of life is unsurpassed and where the students are happy. (Princeton Review has ranked Brown as having the second happiest student body for many years.)

ACCEPT ME...............................................

Whose the happiest?

Clemson, 10char

Got in EA for SFS at GTOWN. I really hope to get into Brown as well cause I've heard they give out some good financial aid which would be a big plus.

IM DONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Sorry. Just had to get that out. Haha, this is a junk thread anyway... :)

Have any of you guys recieved an email from brown saying they recieved your application? i sent mine in a couple of days ago and i haven't heard anything from brown specifically, only common app. are we supposed to hear from them or not? ahh im just so anxious :P

no email just saying they got my supplement... Brown Admissions Office is closed until the 5th of January anyways cause I tried calling them... so probably wont get anything from them for a while cause they would have got massive amounts of applications over the past couple days

okay cool thanks!

Guys. We are done.

We have officially applied to Brown and now there is nothing more to do, save for applying to schools with later deadlines.

Tomorrow I have to officially knock out my applications for Cornell and Duke, but I'm done with Brown, Williams, Northwestern, and Columbia (Deferred ED :/ ...).
