Im actually a junior college student. Thats the education system in my locality.

EC's
School Aerospace Club Prez,
10th grade all rounder award form my school
Asian Regoinal Space Settlment Design COmpetition- I took part in this in my tenth grade... made it to asian Finals . It was a team event & i was the team prez. Took the same competition again in 11th grade. Gathered students from all over the city from diferrent schools, Won the Asian Regionals and then went on as a winner at International FInals( for which i was at Space Centre Houston,Nasa). THis Competion is labelled as one of the 5 most tough competitions in the world.
Was invited my Global Young Leader's Conference held in NY.
TH rest of ec's are regular regional volunteering, church work, Green Olympiad Merit, Society service works of 100hrs, school debates, elocutions etc. ( other school regular events).

Reccos - Teachers reccos are awesome for sure. I got a recco ( a mediocre one) from the ISSDC organisers, Dick Edwards ( he worked foor boeing and NASA for quite some time). I might get another on from my mentor at the ISSDC competition. He holds a good office in an private army weaponary manufacturer.

I wanna give a try at Dartmouth. Dunno how well i stand in the competition against other Indians.... Be frank as much as you can. I also wanna get aid. Tell me what are my chances of getting in and if i got in ... my possibility of gettin an aid. ( of whatever amount)

Dartmouth is not need blind to international students. They are only need blind to the following groups: U.S. citizens and permanent residents, citizens of Canada and Mexico.

If admitted, Dartmouth will meet 100% of your demonstrated need. Keep in mind that the school matriculates less than 70 international students.

for the class of 2008, there was only one international student from india who matriculated (from Mumbai)

So am i good enough to get in?? I'm sure they might wanna increase the number fo students they take in from india... considering many other top schools do....

why don't you wait until you have something more concrete to work with. The net-net is that all of the ives are reaches for international students just because of the sheer number of applications for a limited number of admissions. If you are a junior college student, you may have to apply as a transfer student which may further limit your chances for admissions (as they are even less transfer admits).

No one can really assess what your chances are going to be because Dartmouth builds a class based on their institutional needs. All you can do is toss your hat in and let the process play it self out.
