My school doesn’t give GPAs, it’s some weird comparative grades thing
SAT: 2000
CR - 770
W - 670
M - 560
2 teacher recs (should be good), 1 guidance counsellor rec
Bad transcripts (as in Cs, Ds and B-s) freshman and sophomore year bc of outside circumstances (explained in additional info) + a school transfer, B student in junior year and almost all A’s in senior year first semester
Because I entered my current school late, I couldn’t qualify for any APs, but am in honors French (went up 2 levels in one year)
Not as many extra curriculars … Was in 2 clubs junior year and dropped to one senior year, (although my school has a 3 club maximum anyway), have been displayed in exhibitions for my photography
What major are you applying to and did you have to submit any type of portfolio as part of the admissions process? UD certainly does look at grade advancement when they make their decision so it would appear that you certainly have a great track record here. Your SAT M and CR scores are very good (these are the two SAT scores that they primarily look at but your W score is also in your favor). I assume that you did submit your first semester Sr. year grades. Hopefully UD will take into consideration the circumstances that resulted in your poor grades in your first two years of HS. It is hard to give you a good estimate regarding your chances. I will say however, that the info you provided should put you in the best position to be accepted. Perhaps you might want to consider sending admission’s an email expressing a major interest in attending UD (if that is the case). Good luck.
I did indeed submit 1st semester senior yr grades. Hoping for the best. Thank you so much!
