<p>Hi all. I know W&L is a reach, but I loved the campus and the whole feel of the place.</p>

650 Writing (Retaking this month)

610 Math 1 (Retaking this month)</p>
<p>3.5 GPA at a decent high school
I've taken nearly every honors course offered at my school and I've taken four classes at the local university, getting As in all four</p>
<p>EC's:
- Band President (220 people, the band I placed into plays AA music, which is basically college level)
- Was the Junior Rep for band
- Model UN President and founding member
- Eagle Scout and SPL
- Planned and led a weeklong scouting trip in the Smoky Mountains
- Boys State (elected Senator)
- Traveled to Salzburg, Austria for three weeks and took a German course at the University of Salzburg
- Youth Group member
- Volunteered for a weeklong service project with Youth Group a couple years back
- German Club member
- Student Activities Board member
- Volunteered and then worked at a Cub Scout day camp for about 45 hours a week
- Meals on Wheels volunteer the past four winters
- Vacation Bible School volunteer for the past three summers</p>
<p>I'd like to say I wrote a pretty darn good essay, and that I have some pretty good letters of recommendation. I visited the campus, but ran out of time to do an interview.</p>
<p>Does anybody know how ROTC works at W&L? I know it's through VMI, but does anybdoy know somebody who is or who did ROTC at W&L?</p>
