<p>Hi everyone! I know Notre Dame sent out an e-mail awhile ago that said decisions would be released by April 9th, but this seems kind of late. Does anybody know if ND usually releases their decisions any earlier than that, and if so, when can decisions be expected? Thank you!</p>
<p>Same question. ND said RD applicants would receive admission decision via postal mail by April 9th and International applicants – including foreign nationals and American citizens studying in high schools outside of the United States – will receive both a physical letter as well as an email reflecting their decision. The email will be sent the day that the decision letter is mailed. Aa I am an international student who will get an e-mail decision, I just don’t know when would I get since postal mail will arrive by Aprial 9th.</p>

<p>I did a little bit of research and scrolled back to threads from earlier years and it appears as if people started receiving their letters the last Fridays/Saturdays in March. This year that would be March 29th-30th. I guess it is possible that we can expect to start receiving our letters around then.</p>
<p>But this is just a prediction!</p>
<p>In the previous years, I’m guessing Easter did not fall on the last weekend in March. I’d believe the email about April 9…</p>
<p>I think the April 9th date is the date they list as the latest to hear from them. I also remember that if we haven’t heard by then you can call or email them directly. I think letters will probably be in the mail by April 1st.</p>
<p>I don’t think notre dame would send their letters at the end of Holy Week, so I’d be willing to bet they will come the end of the next week</p>
<p>^ indy1234 that is what we are thinking, also. When did they send something out saying decisions will be by April 9? I thought I read somewhere that they’d mail next Monday…</p>
<p>In the past, letters go out around April 1st. I don’t know how Holy Week changes things, but I would surmise that letters will still go out around that time.</p>
<p>My guess was for letters to go out on March 28th, as I believe they usually mail them on a Thursday. But the April 9th date is definitely later than it has been in years past…</p>
<p>well if it’s the beginning of next week i will flip. the anticipation is killing me!!</p>
<p>Haha I think the anticipation is getting to all of us… I expected next Thursday, but I completely forgot about the April 9th date that they gave out… I had thought they said April 1st. So I have no idea.</p>
<p>After waiting this long, what’s a few more days, right?

<p>Not sure how much more the family can take of DS being on edge waiting…he’s a bit cranky! </p>

<p>Word on the street here in South Bend is that letters will be sent before Holy Week. They are sending them THIS Thursday, to be received by this weekend for most applicants. This information is pretty reliable so you can count on it! Best of luck.</p>

<p>My suspicion was that they would send decisions out this week. With Easter falling on March 31 this year, the adcoms do not want to cut it down to the wire. They certainly will not work over the weekend to send them on April 1. Nor would they likely work on the holidays of Holy Thursday/Good Friday to send them out. If they sent them out anytime between Monday and Wednesday(3/25-27) then they would be out of the office for answering the flood of phone calls that will result when the envelopes are received.</p>
<p>This week simply makes sense based on Easter being so early (or at least we can hope so).</p>
<p>That does make sense, but then why did they tell us, “you’ll know by April 9”? In years past, it’s been April 1…</p>
<p>That actually makes sense - they mailed for ED on a Thursday, I think, too. Either way, news will be here SOON and hopefully GOOD news for all

<p>are the envelopes the same size for each decision, or are acceptances in big letters and waitlists/denials in regular sized?</p>
<p>My friends dad works at ND and has talked to the admissions about it. I was told to keep it in the DL but I am bad at keeping secrets… So Friday/Saturday/Monday seem to be the days we will find out depending on where you are.</p>
