@asiantofu: Don't stanford decisions come out on the 1st of April? That's what the site says...

^Stanford says a lot fo things, but they love coming out on fridays.

@misterme--i totally agree... i was very content to find out in a couple of weeks, but ever since washu came out so early, i have been glued to cc and these forums, every minute is too long a wait

Not only are we driving ourselves nuts...but we are managing to
make the bloggers paranoid. Amy Estersohn took down her blog post
the other day, explaining:, "I took down my last post because it was being interpreted as "Oh, so you know when decisions are coming out!" Which I don't. If I did, I would have sold that information already and would be vacationing somewhere far more exotic than New York and not at home..."

^ lollllll

Ahahha, I just saw the most recent blog with that note. I think I may get involved with PSAC if I indeed go to Chicago, but I do feel sorry for them sometimes. I imagine it's akin to a celebrity being swarmed by fangirls whenever decisions time rolls around.

will it be tonight?
an EA applicant said that the websites were update last year also on a thursday and decisions were posted the following monday at 2pm central.

one person from this forum called them last thursday and they told him that decisions would be posted within the next week.

My bet is it's gonna be today. Last year, it was the 19th, no? So I doubt this year will deviate from that date too much.

Good luck, applicants!

I'm hoping for today.
I got my decisions from Carleton today (waitlisted), so if I'm rejected from Chicago then I can have all the depressing news in one day, and if I'm accepted then it completely makes up for Carleton. I'm thinking I'll be rejected though. But either way, better today than later this week.

After roaming around on their site, I ran across something I had not seen before that instantly began to worry me. It was some post that said they wanted all materials by 2/20. From what I can gather from my other schools, my mid-year report got to my schools at around 2/26-2/27. I have no idea how this will affect my decision (or whether they even looked at my mid-year report), but kinda paranoid now, lol.

More on topic, I'm really hoping they come out today.

I bet that there's one applicant they can't make up their minds about, and that's holding up everybody else's decisions too, lulz. Probably one of us....

riceisnice -

my midyears were really late because my school had some technical issues but they sent out a letter with all of them saying how they were sorry about them being so late. i dont think it really matters as long as you got in it in a reasonable manner.

BUT I REALLY HOPE ITS TODAY
ARGHH I CANT WAIT ANYMORE

i was totally fine about it until i discovered this site a couple weeks ago. >.<

oh and butternut - that person is probably me

lol

i am an admissions conundrum :D

@monstersgomoo--How'd you find out about Carleton? Snail mail or online? I couldn't find anything on their website saying how they would notify...

musta been thro snail mail cos i cant see anything in my account too... n over ter @ carleton's forum those who have gotten their decisions seem to have heard thro snail mail oly.....

Per the Admissions Office, Carleton's decisions went out snail mail on Friday. There is no on line notification.

im prolly not going to get in...

Thanks, Curiousaboutprep. The mail finally came--and I was waitlisted. I'm kind of surprised, honestly; I wouldn't be too upset but I'm afraid about what that means in regards to my admission to other schools, like Chicago...it probably means I'll be rejected. Damn. :[

Ugh. Can't all this admission stuff just be done with? I'm praying super hard that U of C notifies today.

I got my acceptance from carleton today. I'm pretty close to Minnesota though. It was postmarked Friday and is a big thick package.

Yep, snail mail... I only knew so early in the day because I'm a nerd and IM my mom from school :] And as far as the stuff I quoted, that's exactly why being waitlisted for Carleton is bothering me so much. It wasn't a top choice, it means I'm more likely to be rejected everywhere else I applied. ARGH. (The letter I got was very nice though - a lot about how much they'd like to accept me and stuff. Kind of makes it worse when they're nice.)

Now, Chicago decisions need to come out, so I can stop obsessing and focus on my English homework.
