Thanks BTMell! Since my DS was already accepted as Undeclared, I don’t know if his notification process will be different from other people’s. if he remains undeclared then his on line status will never change. Hopefully we will get a letter in the mail soon.

I got my acceptance letter in the mail today! I received an invitation to the Honors College and the Dean’s Scholarship.
SAT 2070 (1350/1600)
96.25 weighted GPA
Congratulations to all those accepted! I’m sure everyone who is still waiting will hear really soon. By the way, it still says under review on my spire.

So I’m trying to sign us up for an open house. I go to the link provided and am directed to my son’s Spire account. No where can I see a link for spring open houses. I wonder if that link activates when he moves from Under Review? Anybody know?

BTMell-UConn has always been his top choice but it would be foolish not to consider UMass Amherst. It has a great engineering program and it is so much less expensive. (about 15k/yr). Also waiting to see if we get any FA from UConn.

Yah you guys have to wait until your spire says accepted!! I’m going to the march 29 open house so let me know if any of you guys are going then! And Emmacat did you friend me yet?

Yeah, cost does matter. I’m not sure my son has a favorite at this point. UMass is a little scary to me given his hearing loss. I’m guessing some really big classes which might be difficult although in looking at the disabilities services website, they look like they’re really “up” on accommodating hearing loss and communication methodologies of all types. I think I mentioned my older son is at Hampshire. He’s the only deaf kid at Hamp and has been well accommodated there - but the classes are so small too so that helps a bunch. I’d hoped S would be invited to the honors college but think his standardized tests were quite “there”. We’ll see!
