"right" on, calidan.

Hahahaha... I love puns. :D

that's outrageously punny, er, funny.

I'll be running for California US Senate... as a Republican.. oh lord :P

I would love to be a senator... of course I'd probably move to a state like Rhode Island or something where it would be easier to win...

Tlak- when I'm president, I'll appoint you to be the ambassador to either korea- take your pick (I would say both koreas, but I don't know if you can do that).

Calidan, by the time you're President, I woulda already done my work with the State Department -- there would be only One Korea -- Dae Han Min Gook! :P..

Anyways.

Argh... I have a speech to give to the Veterans of Foreign Wars this Sunday.. the Nisei Post..

yeah, i'm pretty conservative, netty....i don't want to work in your admin anyway...pssh.

i'll prob run for NY Senate? scary.

I'll be finishing up my app this weekend (i kind of have too...hehe). I'm going crazy trying to finish my apps - 12 in all. I don't really know where I want to go, but I would be ecstatic if I got into G-town. Congrats to those of you who did! One of my really good friends got into SFS EA and he is psyched!

A few questions...
- What did you wear to your interview (esp. if you're a girl...)?
- Where was your interview and how long was it?
- Any really tough questions they asked?

Thanks!!

hey...I want to submit an article i wrote as a supplement to gtown. Is that a smart idea?

mannn i am dying to get into gtown!...hope my scores won't hurt me :(

Yeah, I submitted an article about me being sworn into the Democratic Central Committee and some music and speech award thing and it worked out for me.

Ooh, conservative NY senators? How scary...

Schumer's Republican. His daughter goes to my school :p
Bloomberg (the mayor) is also Republican. I guess there's a difference between republican and conservative though.

Re: Interviews, I didn't have one for gtown yet but I've had two so far. For one I wore a nice sweater and slacks, another I wore a blouse underneath a sweater and then slacks and moccasins. So, I don't think it's that formal at all. I've heard of people wearing jeans but since the places I've gone to (the interviewer's office and Yale Club) have dress codes, I had to adhere to them.

70reve-- I wore black pinstripe pants, a colorful pink blouse, and a black blazer.

hmm well my interview was at an alum's house, and i wore a long-sleeve polo and jeans...

that's probably a little too casual for most interview locations, but since it was her home it was a very relaxed thing (she had even forgotten the interview was that night and was in the middle of cleaning up from dinner), so it worked out fine everyone was in jeans and we just chatted

but for most locations id suggest business casual, it makes a good impression

Hrm. I sent a few copies of my revised deferral letter out.

Zante- Schumer's a Democrat, definitely. And much better than that other Democratic senator from New York. Am I the only "leftist" on this board? Could be trouble...

I finished my application on Thursday, my final one! It was such a relief to be finished. Now it's time to fill out FinAid and get Midyears ready, what fun!

WOw how did I mess that up; I was definitely thinking about the Pataki...I'm such a baaad new yorker :o

And no you're not the only leftist; which is why I'm even more ashamed about my mistake...I actually voted for Schumer, going down the democrat column in the little booth haha.

Good, you can be my political ally Zante! By the way I was in NYC over the weekend. I love it there, it's such a great city you can do anything. Do you live in Manhattan or one of the other 4 boroughs?

By the way since you run X-C have you ever run @ Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx? I ran there last year for Foot Lockers, it was much tougher than I expected so I didn't do that great...

All our meets were at Van Cortlandt! Every week we ran there, but only 2.5mi to 3.1. We practice in central park.
