RD Notification

According to my Dartmouth login page, decisions will be coming out via web page and regular mail on March 29.

Just thought that would be good information to have :)

Best of luck to fellow applicants!

yayyyy i got in! congrats to everyone else who did!!!!

I just found out I'm in too!

I am happy right now - but need to find out info re: one concern: I will be a non drinker at Dartmouth. So, given that, where is the best place to live ?

galwain: non drinker here too! we can find another way to party :D

Awesome! Maybe it will be a new trend.

Accepted as well! Somebody should start one of those accepted threads. I'm really unsure about Dartmouth, though... I don't think I "fit" the (preppy, athletic, beer-guzzling frat) scene. Even if that's not what the whole school is comprised of, I'm wondering if I should sacrifice the Ivy-league name for a school more hippie-liberal than Dartmouth.

Dartmouth looks super-pretty. I'm excited to visit.

student06905 : There are no hippies in Dartmouth, they're all in a school closer to your zip code (if the 06905 refers to your zip area). ;)

Haha, I actually have no idea what you're referring to. Is that sarcasm, or is there some hippie school in Stamford I'm unware about? I grew up in Stamford, but moved to FL when I was young--I know nothing about the area.

i'm in!! yay!! cant wait to meet everybody:)

Hurrah! Dartmouth's the only college that accepted me - I got rejected by HYP, and waitlisted by Williams. But I don't mind, since Dartmouth was 2nd only to Princeton in my choices. :D:D

I'm an artsy Swedish vegan atheist... I'd say that's close enough to hippie-liberal. :D

I've seen you posting all over the place, cameliasinensis...
Have you already decided to attend Dartmouth?

P.S. I'm soo excited about my Dartmouth acceptance...read the letter a bazillion times already..:)

I'm in too, and I'm also new to the forum, but will anyone be going to the Dimensions program? Just trying to find out who I might meet there.

I was accepted to Dartmouth ($25,000 grant), Wellesley ($3,000), Bryn Mawr ($21,000), and Macalester ($26,000), and I haven't bought the sweater, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to Dartmouth. I couldn't believe it when I read the acceptance letter online -- I thought I'd be rejected for sure considering that I'm not nationally ranked in anything ;) and had to apply as an international student in need of significant aid. I somehow managed to get in in spite of all this, and I'm so excited about it.

Congrats on your acceptance! :)

edited to add: I'm definitely going to Dimensions, but I don't know if I'll be able to stay for all four days or only part of it. I hope to see some of you there!

cameliasinensis, are you going to dartmouth/are you going to dimensions? we should meet up! as time has been going by sine my acceptance (and I got a full ride!) I've been leaning more and more towards going.

nevermind, lol, you just answered my questions in your last post. let's meet up at dimensions! i hope this doesn't sound stalkerish, haha, but i added you on facebook (found your name when i clicked on your flickr profile)

Awesome, I'll add you back! :)

Oh thanks camelia...

I'm still terrified by the huge drinking culture..though I had many alcohol-fans-for-life class mates in HS..and they are pretty funny when they try to show off with that..we'll see

Too bad I won't be able to cross the Atlantic to get to Dimensions

Accepted. :)
