REA --- Is it any good?

Ok. I'll be taking the U.S. History, Math IIC, and German SAT II exams late spring of next year... Are the REA books any good? I've heard they're the best. Thanks .

I've never used one, but some claim they are the best, and others call them crap...

REA is good for AP Euro and AP US

Yeah...I agree...REA is really good for AP Euro.

All I know is that they have undoubtedly THE worst SAT II bio book. I've lost all respect for them.

Thanks. What books are REALLY good for SAT II U.S., IIC, & German?

US= REA hands down

REA OWNS ALL FOR SAT 2 US HIST. -- I attribute book to my 790 =]

Amsco is better for AP US. It does a better job with trends. REA might have more facts though.

REA Math IIC and Bio SAT II were the worst books I have ever used.

In bio, they covered stupid things that nobody needs to know for the SAT II.

In math, they did the same thing, covering easy, but useless topics. Additionally, a lot of their practice test problems were printed differently than in the answer key. Many, many typos like that. Made me very frustrated, looking at the answer key after taking a test and seeing that a question was wrong, and then realizing that REA just screwed up the question and typed in "+" instead of "-" or something dumb like that.

I don't know about other subjects, but definitely don't trust REA for math or bio SAT II's.

I've heard it's good with U.S. History, as been reported by many of you. What about with German? And is the new 2006 7th edition math level 2 book THAT bad? I mean, it's the 7th edition, it should be updated so those errors don't appear anymore. Thank you all for your extensive input.

REA is simply the best. I used REA for IIC. After 3 days and 2 practice tests, I got 800.

--- Yeah--- I've heard that they're the best company out there. I hope their German study-guide is good, because there aren't many other ones out there.
