To hoodreamer
Learn to read all posts because if you read everything I wrote, you would see that I congratulated him.
thank you

Let's all be friends! :)

I agree with MPerfectionist..I will apologize for my first post. Good luck to everyone else.

What's JParisi's problem?
He got in fair and square.
It's not like it's btw3006's fault that JPar's friend got rejected :/

chill out...

anyways,

CONGRATS!!!

I might see you there :)

if it helps (probably not), i know a handful of people who got in to northeastern with below 3.0 gpas. one friend in particular got in and chose not go and she had a 2.8ish gpa. she went to boston university instead. ha.

well she just made the worst decision of her life because it sucks to BU
word is there's more people transferring out of BU than into BU
so ha.
hope she enjoys the lifeless gray buildings and grade deflation

:( Don't say that about BU or I will get you!

The school is fine. It is something called rigor...Not grade deflation :)

Lifeless gray buildings?!?!?!?!?!??!?!? Have you even seen the buildings?

i've visited both campuses (well if you consider BU a proper campus.....it was miserable)
got accepted into both schools as a transfer student
visited the campuses after I had applied and immediately knew which one I wanted
im a business major and NEU's undergrad business school is ranked 10 places ahead of BU's
didn't mean to offend you... but now that I'm a confirmed Husky.... and BU are the rivals
BU's a decent school...its just that.....Northeastern's better :)

Hey, guys. would i get in?

Male
Small MA private school (~400)
GPA 3.5u 3.8w
all honors/ap classes

I'm a junior, taking the SAT tomorrow. projected SAT based off psat 2050-2150.
GPA just junior year, 3.76u.

i really want to get into the architecture department. could i get in?

You should get in with those grades, especially if you can manage to break 2000 on your SAT.

I wouldn't put all your eggs in the Northeastern basket, as I just found out! You definitely have good credentials but I did too and I was wait-listed. I think my main problem was a large number of people from my school applying and being accepted through early action. So consider doing that if you think there are a lot of people from your school applying.

oh, i don't know what you thought i was laughing at. but i just find it funny how certain individuals get picked, and others dont. i have two other high school acquaintances who got into williams and cornell with 88% averages, respectively. the one who went to cornell was waitlisted at harvard.

so i honestly think that everyone has shot anywhere, though its fair to say you have to make a compelling case if your statistics don't meet the standards.

also, i agree about bu. but i find boston to be generally gray and a more diluted, flat version of new york.

Somewhat of a reach. I was accepted with comparable scores though: 3.2 GPA and 1810 combined SAT

i got waitlisted with a 3.7 gpa, 1330/1950 sats, great ecs (captain of the swim team, 4 yrs on two sports, jobs, summer programs), mostly honors and a few ap classes. It feels like everyone else around me got in. kids who had much lower scores and class ranks. i was upset for a while and the day i was about to call them, i got my packet from udel giving me money and honors program. i guess its just weird sometimes. i would have liked to go to school in boston though…

^STORY OF MY LIFE! I have a 4.3 weighted GPA, 1290/2010 on SATs, 31 on ACT, all honors or AP classes (7 APs, the rest honors) 4 years of soccer, indoor track, and outdoor track, and then things like Student Council, National Honor Society, etc.

And I have a few friends at my school with GPAs in the 3.6-3.9 range who all got in early because they applied early and most applied with a major. Apparently applying regular with an undeclared major was like a kiss of death…

:( Ughhh.
