Reach | Target | Safety Schools

ok basically the guidance counselors at my school suck so I'm looking for some real advice on reach, target, and safety schools! I'm looking for either a political sci, PPE, cognitive sci, or neuroscience major at small liberal arts colleges.

Some of my favorite schools are Bowdoin, Yale, Middlebury, Pomona, Colby, Haverford, and Tufts but I'm 10000% open to more suggestions!! (also: I'm happy to offer any advice, help, whatever in return!)

AP scores: World (4), Environmental Sci (5), Language (5)
↪ taking Literature, Comparative Gov, and French next year (couldn't fit Macro)

Extracurriculars:
● Girl Scouts (Gold Award recipient; 2001-)

Home state ? Estimated family contribution ? Intended major ? Eligible for need based aid ? Which part of US ? College size ? Urban Rural ?

1) NY
2) Money isn’t a factor (yet)
3) political sci, PPE, cognitive sci, or neuroscience
4) Money isn’t a factor (yet)
5) Mainly northeast
6) Small to medium. 5,000 is about the biggest I’m looking at
7) Suburban

Yale would be a reach because ivies are reaches for anyone, while the other schools you have look like matches. Boston College would also match your criteria, especially if you like Tufts for the Boston area. As a NY resident like myself, you may also want to look at SUNY’s like Binghamton and Genesseo as safeties because they’re the best of the SUNY’s and are very affordable. Good luck!

OP, money is always a factor (either as a plus or a minus).

Wesleyan is something you could add if say it’s a high match
