The big update that I’ve waited all year for finally got deployed today and the final stages of it took longer than I expected. Sorry about that.
I think that everything is working as expected now.
@CC_Jay I assume this update included the “new opening” when I hit the link for this site?
A suggestion…in the future, could you please give us a heads up about these changes.
I noticed my font has changed also.
I assume that the column on the right is “latest” but as you can see…the header saying so is gone. @CC_Jay
Do you remember where to set Light Mode vs Classic? I looked in Preferences and can’t find it…
A thousand apologies. I’ll do that in the future. I notified the CC staff (I’ve been anxious to get this upgrade done since even before the 3.0 Release, but didn’t think to provide a warning here.
It’s missing because it’s occluded by the “updated topic” banner, so that’s expected. Here it is without it.
At this point there is only one theme. The main theme has a bunch of functionality that is missing from the Light theme. I have asked the developer and CC staff for more input.

This really needs its own thread…about the update, and what has changed and what to look for. And to find out any glitches. @CC_Jay

I am not getting either numbers or blue highlights on threads to which I have responded.

I agree. Once that thread is created I will add my questions/issues. Now that I understand I was forced out of the Light Theme that I’ve used for over a year, it is difficult to know if the changes I’m seeing are due to the update or just standard and expected in the Classic Theme. So I’ll give it a few days and poke around in the Preferences as I have time.
Biggest issues at this point: no more highlights in threads or in notifications, no ability to change font size (and I’m not visually impaired, other than readers)

The site is still glitchy for me this morning as well. Some of the threads I’ve read have been highlighted, but not others, and when I got on my laptop this morning, it said I had no unread replies.
I agree with @thumper1 that it would be helpful to have an update for an admin about the changes. @CC_Jay @CC_Jon

Is this typical of the Classic Theme?
- What is blue dot on first topic?
- What does not having a blue dot tell me on second topic?
- Third topic seems to work as I’m used to seeing… it is a topic I’m “Tracking” and I have 178 unread posts.
I don’t understand the difference in 1) and 2)… I’ve never opened or read either of those threads so why is the blue dot on one but not the other?
EDIT: And why is the font a larger size in the numbered list? The differing font sizes in this theme are driving me bonkers 
I believe the blue dot is a new post that you haven’t seen since the last time you were on the site. No dot is one that you’ve seen before but haven’t read/entered. And yes, the number is unread replies in a thread that you are tracking.
Interestingly I don’t have weird font differences!

Re: fonts… This is what I’m seeing. The font size is larger for the list.
I was using lite mode also…and the font was different…and better, in my opinion.
I’m still not getting the notifications…
I would like to know what other changes that improve this site were made. @CC_Jay could you please create a thread and tell us what you updated…?

I don’t have the font change at all! Very odd. Hopefully an admin will chime in soon.
I think the font change is only for those who were using lite mode.
There has to be something in the code defining the font to use with various formats… e.g. default font Arial 9, bullet/numbered lists Arial 10, etc. Surely it is not intended because it looks wacky. Also interesting that it is not the same for everyone.

Aside from the weird disappearing icons yesterday, which resolved when I closed out of CC and re-opened it, I am having none of these other issues (not showing/highlighting read threads, not showing number of unread new posts in read threads, fonts, etc). It’s so strange that some have these problems and others don’t. FWIW I am on a Mac using firefox.
The only other issue I continue to have is on the IPad, where I can’t select anything but a thumbs up for a reaction (the pop up with other options doesn’t pop up like it does on my computer or iphone).
