lol, maybe rockfield cows produce more lactose than kirkland cows.

That's what someone told me.

I'm fine with Alta Dena milk. (:

I drink Whole or 2%. I try to stay away from Fat Free because it's so disgusting.

can anyone comment on the quality of Sproul Hall?

sproul hall has been closed the last few years . . . in any case, they dont have food there, guys? it's covel . . . ?

sproul will be newly renovated starting in the summer

there's no dining hall as emm said, so that's a moot point

if you live in sproul on the side facing drake stadium, be prepared to get a loud wakeup-call courtesy of the bruin marching band during band camp/zero week ;)

As a freshman, how hard will it be to get single room in any of the Plazas? I am hoping to get a single suite with a shared bath (a 10 person suite?? the floor plan shows 5 persons/suite). I am very easily distracted, so i am trying to limit my distractions as much as possible. I've heard that singles are mostly for upper classmen though.

lets just say you'll be very lucky if you dont get a triple.

are apartments coed or single sex?

university apartments are single sex. private apartments are whatever.

hey i am wondering about what will be the best residence hall for freshman next year?

rieber is closed. i hear sproul will have lots of sophomores in it since it is opening from renovation.

that leaves dykstra and hedrick. is hedrick a lot nicer than dykstra? i don't mind an extra walk to hedrick, but is it really really really far?

any advice for freshman housing in residence halls next year?

thanks

you dont get to pick, so it doesnt matter.

but to answer your question, hedrick is a bit nicer (newer) than dykstra.

you'll have a better chance of getting into sproul if you're a girl (there were more female than male rooms left after signups)/

then again, as VTEC said, you don't pick which hall you want, just that you want a hall. and not all people even get that... you get what you get.

hedrick may be newer but thae walk is a biotch... so i guess the upside of that is no frosh 15!

please excuse typoes, i'm on an ackerman computer which deletes my entire post every time i hit backspace >.<

Uh. No. Even with Hedrick, there is a very real possibility of a freshman fifteen :'(

yes i know... i got the soph 15 and i live up here, too.

i'm just sayin' that for dedicated walkers, every little bit helps... my weakness, however, lies in evening van service ;)

I know that the housing application is now up....do I have a better chance of getting what I want (a plaza) if I submit it earlier? Or is it okay if I wait until the end of April?

no difference

for sure? I'm not doubting you but... can someone confirm this?

It's a lottery system.

On Housing application under the Room Type Preference, what's the difference between Triple Room (three occupants) and Triple Room- Shared bath? With the plazas, I thought all rooms had a shared/private bath.

Triple room-shared is for shared plazas/suites.
Triple room is for halls and private plazas.
