Do you think having a sibling that is already attending Brown University will up my chance of getting in?

Possibly, although I think by legacy, that includes someone who has graduated and finished their degree. But, it could help.

Well, that sucks. I hope it does just a little bit. Thanks for answering!

Yeah, legacy generally helps if its like a parent that went their, I'm not so sure about siblings though. Although, I could be very wrong.

I'm not relying on it too much, I guess. Are you a senior or what?

Yea, I am a senior. But take legacy for a grain of salt unless you go back like mad generations.

I am, too. And I'm practically ****ting bricks here.

Yeah, I knew a kid last year at my school who wanted Brown hardcore. He was an awesome student, his dad went their and stuff, and he got rejected. Now he is at Gettyburg.

You're crushing me here.

Oh, well his SATs were a little low (1950 I think). But he was cool kid. 4.05 W GPA I think. Not CC quality, but a really cool stoner kid.

Oh, you're still here. :) I know a kid who got a 24 on their ACT and got into Cornell University.

Dare I ask what your scores are?

Yeah, SAT and ACT scores are important. But sometimes their are those random kids that slip through the cracks and get in with sub-average scores. I don't know, he must have had some amazingly awesome hook.

I don't believe in standerdized testing. I think it's a BS way of determining whether someone is worthy enough to attend a university. I understand that it helps to sift through people, but still.

So, why Rutgers?

Well, I like Rutgers a lot. And its instate which makes it easily affordable for my parents. We probably could not afford huge private schools. And my stats are not godly enough to warrant huge sums of merit aid. And I am one of the few who desire to go to the local state university.

I don't know too much about Rutgers, but it sounds like you've got it all planned out. Do you think it's pretty much a guarantee you'll get in?

Most likely. I have seen several scattergrams for Rutgers from over 100 NJ HS's. MY SATs are pretty good Rutgers. My GPA is average-below average for them. But I wanna be a Mech Engineer, so a 720 Math is good for a state school. And I am Hispanic/Indian, which is good cause like 2 mexicans outta 2000000000000000 go to college. :)

What are you thinking of majoring in? I've got such a hell planned out for my future. Sorry for the whole "20 Questions."

LOL. Well, good luck.
