Well, nobody was replying to the other one.

I think Ga Tech is a real reach for me, as math/science is my weakest area. Why the heck am I applying to Ga Tech, right??? Well, I'm applying for the Liberal Arts school (Ivan Allen) so do you think that will help in the decision?

Here are my stats:

3.7 UW GPA (Around 3.81 W for APs)
2140 SAT (600M 760V 780W)
60/365 at a very competitive public high school (and GPAs UW)
French SAT II: 750
Literature SAT II: 710
US History AP: 5
Lang/Comp AP: 4

I will have taken 7 AP tests upon graduation. I have taken honors/gifted/APs all four years (at least two a year)

My biggest worries:
Grades. My transcript is not the most solid. I have had one other C (junior year math, first semester) the rest are As and Bs. Unfortunately, I am getting another C this year in math. Will this kill my chances (I'm guessing at Ga Tech it will)? I am a Communication major by the way (except GA Tech).

My biggest assets:
I have a lot going for me in French. I attended the Governor's Honors Program as a junior and have received several French awards. I have been ranked in the top 15 (and top ten twice) in the National French Contest in Georgia, and in the top ten nationally. I am also on the board of Governors for my French Club (committee of five people elected by the French Club members). I'm a member of the Nat'l French Honor Society and spent time in Belgium with a French family over the summer, speaking French of course. Oh, and I tested out of French I freshman year.

I also do a lot of interesting things independently. I run my own freelance web design business, and found jobs on my own, and have ran a Mariah Carey fan club for the past four years. Through the club, I have kept in contact with Carey's record label, done a ton of promo campaigns, raise approx. $1000 for charity, distributed her songs to radio by request of her label, met Mariah, etc. One of my charity campaigns donated $5 to the Make a Wish Foundation every tme Mariah's song "Shake It Off" was played on Atlanta radio station one weekend. I called the stations in advance, worked out online promo, talked to DJs about it, etc.

Other ECs are Varsity Swimming all four years (with a letter; this year I'm manager), played violin for 3 years in HS, worked at a pizza restaurant 2 years, charity work (100-200 hours), tutoring a student in French; the Mariah and web design things are the biggest (I also ran a popular Mariah site for 4 years, which received 10-20,000 visitors a month and was recognized by Mariah).

My course schedule this year, and predicted grades:
AP Euro (84)
AP Biology (81)
French V (90)
Adv Alg and Trig (76....ouch!!!!)
AP Literature (96)
Gov't (98)
