Hey guys! Decisions come out tomorrow and I wish all of you the BEST of luck! A bunch of us will get in but more of us will be deferred/rejected, so in light of the depression that will most likely be felt after receiving a deferral, I just wanted to share with you guys a blog entry that the Dean of Admissions at MIT put up this weekend.

http://tim.mitblogs.com

It’s a really good entry. I feel a lot better about not getting in after I read what she wrote. So yeah there you go! :)

that lady spoke at my school this year. she basically told us not to worry because everything would work out for us in the end because it always does. in fact, that quote is in there too. i don't really get it, though. she basically told us we could will our way into college. it didn't totally make sense. buut, that's a good article to put everything into perspective.

she's full of crap

dude, Reeze, what on earth is that supposed to mean?

means what she says is unrealistic and she lives in a dream world.

yes. i agree. that was basically what we all said after she gave us her speech at school.

I think she's arguably a bit more sensible than any of the other AdComs we know. At least she has a daughter our age. Although Doris Cochran-Fikes rocks my world.

I got the feeling that after she went to that meeting at her daughter's school, she felt like she was sadly, firmly rooted in reality.
