Scoop- Evelyn Waugh
Awesome book :)

bbc miniseries of pride and prejudice is amazing! (especially Colin Firth...the lake...the shirt...sigh)

I don't know why they are making a movie of it now when there is already a perfect version :)

awww I loved the BBC P and P mini series!
I thought that Mrs. Bennet was overdone but Colin Firth does make up for everything :)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams
I'm on Life, the Universe and Everything

And I'm at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe...hmmm think I'll eat some breakfast :)

Yes, Colin Firth is the sex in that movie. mmm....
aside from him I'd say Lydia would be my next favorite. She's so stupid and dumb you just have to laugh at her. And that scene with her and Collins in her shift was classic.

I hear this new version with Keira Knightley as Lizzie Bennet kinda sucks. I don't know though since I've not seen it yet, but from what my friend (the biggest Austenite ever) has heard....that said, it would be pretty hard to top this version.

Keira Knightly-Lizzie Bennett...the casting itself is enough indication that the movie is going to be TERRIBLE

we had to read an excerpt from The Jungle in our ap history class, although i probably should go out and actually get a copy of the book to read

and i saw a clip from the BBC one, but we only saw the pemberly scene. (including the wet shirt)

hitchhikers!!! i finally finished the last book in the "trilogy" a few days ago. gotta love douglas adams (and if you didn't know, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (not the series, just the book) is being made into a movie for realease on May 6. :D)

Actually, I think they moved up the date to April.
I just saw the trailer and I'm so psyched.
I hope it doesn't suck.

it shouldn't suck...or at least i hope it doesn't
douglas adams did work on the screenplay before he died, so it's not like they're going to ruin the series.

and apparently they did move the date up. april 29 now.

The Bell Jar- Slyvia Plath

a good dose of depression

I read that on my own and I liked it until the second half. I love Plath stuff.

For school I'm reading Othello, just finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy.

On my own I'm reading Tom Wolfe's new book and also Lolita.

I just finished The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.. can't wait to borrow the next one from my bf!
For school, I'm reading:
Othello
The Catcher in the Rye

Yeah hitch hiker is awesome! So long and Thanks for All the Fish :p
I used to have the BBC radio tapes before but theyre ruined now :(

i'm reading walzer's just and unjust wars and chomsky's hegemony or survival and enchi's the waiting years. maybe if i could focus on one book at a time i'd finish more of them.

And Quiet Flows the Don by Mikhail Sholokhov.

Reading Jhumpa Lahiri's 'Interpreter of Maladies'. Great Fiction, I wud suggest it to anyone.

I haven't read a good book in ages. The last book I read was Dan Brown's Digital Fortress, but I want something new. Dan Brown's writing style gets really annoying after a while.

One Hundred Years of Solitude for School

The Da Vinci Code........ after waiting forever for it to go on sale, I can finally see what all the fuss is about
