Reading in time.

For the people who have scored well on the reading portion, how did you manage to complete the four sections in 35 minutes? I usually score either a 28 or 29; my method is to reading all of the sections except for the natural sciences. My accuracy is usually 100 percent for the ones that I read, and I get 3 to 4 correct on the natural sciences by completing the ones that are just looking up info in the passage.

i have a similar problem...i got a 32 on the reading on my last ACT, but i still wasnt able to finish...any suggestions?

develop a better strategy and read like there is no tomorrow.

If you can read quickly enough, just read it like a book and go straight to the questions. If you can't in the time allotted though.. I think I'd suggest skimming the passage quickly - this just means figuring out the general gist of what/where everything is so you can refer back to the specific lines when you answer the questions.

Above all though, take practice tests, try different things, and figure out what works for you. The reading test is easier if you read a lot for fun.
