I honestly don’t know how that’s even possible. My Reading score went from a 31 to a 25, and my English score actually dropped 3 points. I got the same 25 composite score because my score increased 6 points in Science and 2 in Math. If colleges superscore will this affect their decision? Superscored my composite is 27 but I was expecting to increase my scores in Reading and English and get closer to a 29. Now I have no desire to retake it because missing just a few questions can completely destroy your score.
Super scoring would be an advantage to you. Is that what you are asking?
@HereToHelpYou Yes, Im asking if a college super scores, do they care if scores drop on some sections on a later test or do they only look at super scored composite?
Nope, they just take the best section score from each test.
That’s good to hear, thanks.
Note that, unlike SAT, most schools do not superscore ACT.
@billcsho Really? I would expect most colleges would since it really only helps them raise their stats. Luckily, my top choice school does superscore.
No. It is not the case for ACT. Note that they report ACT score in CDS as composite, Math, and Eng. Not all the sections individually like SAT. Same for the mid 50, you usually only find the composite score.
