reading vs writing

<p>i recently took my sat and got a 2200</p>

<p>but i just got a 600 on critical reading and 800 in the other two</p>

<p>i recently found out that almost all colleges look only at your math+reading score and don`t give any weightage to your writing score</p>

<p>in my case do you think a 800 on writing can neutralize the 600 on reading</p>

<p>for instance while calculating my math+verbal score do you think the colleges will just consider it as 800+600 or say a 800+700(i.e a average of reading and writing)</p>

<p>Wow - congrats on the great scores. Very impressive. However, most competitive schools are going to look at your score as 800 and 600 and the writing, although impressive, will not compensate for the 600.
