Recently I've been hearing about how some APs aren't as rigorous as others and so aren't counted as real AP courses. My course guide even states that AP Stats, Psychology and Environmental Science aren't as rigorous as the others. Some of my friends also told me that Human Geo and World History don't count, either. Does anyone know all the "less rigorous" AP exams?

It’s aaallll a fallacy, my dear Watson.

I know which ones are easier to study for, so I SUPPOSE you could say that they’re ‘less rigorous’:

AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
AP Human Geography

I wouldn’t say AP Stats is an easy one, probably mid range. AP World History is a harder one and more ‘respectable one’.

But at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter to colleges that much.

It all comes down to whether the college will give you a credit or a course exemption for the AP. For example, MIT doesn’t give credit or course exemptions for AP Bio, which is a “real” AP, but it gives credit for Human Geo and Psych. World History is a relatively new exam (2003 first release I believe), so some colleges still don’t give credit or didn’t update their AP credit policy, but it is definitely a rigorous AP exam.
