[...Real Life At Boarding School...]

Hey boarders,

We all want to know what "IT" is like!

Can you please describe life at boarding school and how it has changed you, your relationships and your work. Was it worth it? What is it really like?

We'd love to hear descriptive feedback from current boarding school students! Your 'First Day' there, special occasions, journal of a normal day - anything at all.

We're all dying to know a bit about boarding school life from a real student's perespective!

You will be so tired that getting into bed is a pleasure. I go to Shawnigan Lake School in British Columbia and the typical day is:
breakfast 7:00-7:45
chapel/assembly 8:00-8:15
classes (and lunch) 8:20-2:45
tutorials/free time 2:45-3:30
sport or arts 3:30-5:30
dinner 6:00-6:30
sign in 6:45
study 7:00- 9:00
free time 9:00- 10:15
sign in 10:15
lights out

girlE, i'm a parent of a bs student. thicks' entry looks about right. this would be the basic nuts and bolts. at d school weds, and sat are half days , these days are usually the days for sporting events. Of course you also have club's, and others.

Bed at 10:15? That's brutal.

Sign-in at 10:15. Bedtime probably later...

When do you guys find time for clubs and stuff?

bumpety bump bump... (also another way to get my post count up to 90- yay!)

i go to missporter's

Here is my little Deerfield life schedule.

7:00=wake up
7:55-11:40 AM=four morning classes
11:45=Sit down lunch
12:25-2:10 PM=two afternoon classes

There is sufficient time to meet with your clubs or just hang out if you manage your time well.

Thanks guys, lol. But can you like, describe a day? not just times and all.

Like a journal of a day! What you ate, if you were late to classes "as usual? ;)", if you were ignored, what you did - in detail! :)

Which do you think a 'new girl' should choose - an all freshmen dorm or a mixed freshman, sophmores and juniors?
