I live out of state for a California School but is there any chance I can get into a UC school or USC...if I raise my SAT score????

Please...all comments are appreciated

I don't know about chances, but Who's Who and National Honor Roll don't really matter much.

Start thinking about the Cal States. UCs are tough to get into out of state; USC is a reach for you as well.

Perhaps take the ACT.

no hope for UC's at all??????
wow... bummer =(

I didn't say no hope for UC's at all. Now Berkeley and UCLA = no hope. The rest, you have hope for. It just doesn't look good right now.

Well, your SATs are almost 25th percentile for UCB, so you could make it in. >_>

yeah i kinda figured UCB and UCLA were too much of a reach...but that's ok...thank you

You can still get your scores up. Which campus is your first choice? Good luck to you.

my friend had a 1800 and 3.2 gpa and got into ucla .. there are always exceptions.
another had a 3.7 with 1900 into berkeley.

good luck! :) don't lose hope.
and don't forget the essay.

You've got a good shot at Riverside, Merced, and Santa Cruz. For the others, you'll need to raise your SAT scores. You've still got time for that, so don't worry.

I'm not an adept of west coast schools, but I agree with Raspberry Heaver said. And although you are out of state, living in Nevada may be considered to be an advantage since it is closed to Cali.
