Hello I am currently a senior in Wisconsin and I was wondering if I honestly had any chance for college at this point. I have a UW GPA of 2.4 and an ACT of 31. I know those both don't add up and I really slacked off during high school but I tend to procrastinate when it comes to homework. Some other facts about me are I was part of my schools band for 2 years(dropped class but I still participated outside of it) and did a summer marching band during my sophomore-junior summer. I also have had a part time job that gets me 35 hours a week. I was really planning on attending any college part of the Wisconsin System but I just want to know if I should even bother. Despite this GPA I have taken a really rigorous schedule (11 AP classes by the time I graduate) because I really like learning but I just never do the work. I honestly just came to post this to see whether or not I should bother applying to MSOE or UW Madison. Any other college recommendations would be appreciated at this point. Thanks in advanced

Sorry the AP Classes I have taken so far are: Chemistry, Biology, Physics B, Computer Science A, United states history, Psychology, Literature, Statistics, US Government, Physics II(Missed youth options deadline will be taking statics at community college next semester), Calculus AB, Language. Hmm taken 13 instead of 11. I had to get a job to help my family. They both currently work in restaurants with a family of 4 while my Older brother is at college. I have also been trying to save for college but it has been hard. Both my parents are immigrants from mexico. Sorry about forgetting this information

Do you know your weighted GPA?

No idea my school only does UW since it is in wisconsin

Your tests scores give you options at bigger schools. Now Harvard may be hard to get into lol, but you will have choices. You also have a rigorous schedule. My advice would be to not apply to any test optional schools, as they will not take your great score into account much.

Alright thank you. By the way do you have an recommendations? I wanted to go into engineering(Bio medical/Mechanical). I have learned from my past and will try my absolute hardest in college.

@MightAsWell I’d need you to list your grades in individual courses.

@MightAsWell for the best answer.
