<p>I'm a junior in highschool,
Unfortunately.. I got a C in my REGULAR english class due to late turn in..
My essay score was originally 84% but my teacher dropped it down to 42% which is devastating since I could have gotten a B+ in that class rather than a solid C. I'm taking APUSH and APBIO and I think I'll have a 3.1 gpa by the end of 1st semester.
I know it's horrible. But I'm going to raise them to all A's for 2nd semester for sure.
From Freshman to Sophmore year, I had about 3.758 gpa and if I end up with a 3.5 gpa this year, that means that I'll have around 3.6. Do universities or colleges care if you had a really low first semester grade in junior year? Will they care about my C in regular English class? Does senior year grade actually go into your gpa when applying for university because I really want to end up with a 3.7 gpa by getting 4.0 in senior year. But people have told me that universities only care about gpa from freshman to junior year.
Sorry for all this.. I'm really paranoid right now :'(</p>
<p>How many math problems do engineers actually have to solve for their job every day?
I have a mentorship at a chemical plant and the engineers seem to mostly sit around monitoring the plant’s operations on computers and/or building stuff and not actually doing intense math. The only time I used math was in a quality control lab, and they were chemists and not engineers.</p>
