Really hard senior year schedule...how will it affect me?

Environmental Geology (double period) with University of Maryland
AP Lit
AP U.S.
AP Euro
AP Psych
Consumer math (lol I hate math)

I've taken it easy before this...got an A in AP world first semester but that's been my only AP class. some honors. so I got a 3.5 unweighted and close to 4.1 weighted. 520 math 670 reading 710 writing on SAT the only time I took it.

How will colleges look at it without seeing my grades since i'll have already applied? Can I use the schedule if I do well to appeal a decision? Could colleges think that I'm BSing and that I'll switch to an easy load after I apply? How will the inevitable drop in unweighted GPA affect college decisions?

To be honest, that schedule doesn’t seem so difficult. Might just be me, though.

I’m just trying to figure out if a top school would be impressed by it if I did well. Or if I should go to community college and take my chances there

try
ap science (a real science)
ap math
ap language
ap english
ap history

that’s diverse sure but two AP history classes has gotta be tough. and AP psych and AP lit have a lot of reading so will environmental geology with university of maryland

It seems hard because you havent taken so many AP classes together before, but for the crazy mofos on this board it’s usual. Don’t worry.

I’m taking 4 APs next year and that’s considered alot at my school. I think a college would be happy about that. You went hard instead of slacked off which is the drive colleges want. That’s just my thinking though :)

AP Euro and AP US won’t be that bad… just lots of reading.
Next year I’m taking two college classes (Calculus and American lit) in dual enrollment, physics, economics, and AP Spanish.
Physics and Calculus are going to be hard for me. I hope I can pull of an A or B+ in both the first semester.

It really depends on the difficulty of the courses at your school as well as your level of rigor last year.

Most likely, you’ll remain consistent with possibly a slight decrease in GPA.

(happened to me when I increased my courseload difficulty)

I guess it depends on your school? I dunno. At my friend’s school taking 4 APs senior year is considered really stacking it up, but in my school, people freak out about not doing every AP offered and take about 7 or 8 senior year.

But taking those APs are great overall and I’m sure colleges will think highly of you for even taking APs, and if you apply ED, they’ll definitely want to see your senior year schedule. Remain consistent in your work and don’t slack off! Also, I think colleges ask for your mid-year grades or some shenanigans like that, so keep that in mind.

IB is dumb go for AP.

To be honest, it does not look that difficult to me. I think that you will breeze through the Ap Psy because it is probably one of the easiest AP courses outhere. I do not try to belittle your effort, but you sometimes gotta “lower” your stress level a little bit in order to do well.
