^^^I'm hoping they don't think my math classes were BS just because my SAT II math score will be 650-700...on the contrary, I go to one of the top schools for math in my province (we constantly place in the top 5-10 in provincial and national exams).

jpps - I wouldn't worry - you have great stats and you are international. I'd say you have excellent chances.

I'm sorry if I didn't properly support my opinion but here is some proof:

"Perhaps the only major surprise in the Academic Index is the key role of the SAT II scores. A student with strong SAT I scores and high class rank must also do very well on the SAT II tests to achieve a high AI and increase chances of admission."

Write from college confidential website about Penn admissions. SATIIs are important...I wouldn't say they are less important that SAT at all.

bongo - Thanks for that link.

the coach from upenn told me that it came down to my sat II scores and id get in

I got a 760 on the IIC, but only a 650 on Chem (as a soph). I'm hoping the 650 sort of gets balanced out with the IIC.

are the SATIIs really THAT important?? ughhhh... i'm sure my 700 math iic will keep me out of SEAS! :(

well for me at least...i was surprised when he said that to me....i was like what if i bombed them and got 600s....he said id prolly get deferred and i can take them again in january.

SATIIs in the 700s for recruited athletes! i'm dead!

i only got a 1950 on the sat though but he said that should be fine

wharton???

nah college

ohh ok! :) good luck!

ahh, the SAT i'm worried about, but not as much as my gpa. i'm in range for the SAT scores (barely, but i'm there haha) but my gpa isn't the best T_T o well...once again, que sera sera

yeah considering the lowest for recruit is probably an 1800

say guys...if college is easier to enter than wharton why not all apply to college. I mean the admission lady said that we can always change majors...Just curious whether thats true

switching colleges is not as simple as switching majors within the same college!

if you want to switch to wharton from college, you'll have to apply as a transfer applicant.. and your being a Penn student doesn't really do much to improve your chances if I'm right.

you can switch between majors within the same college without too much hassle though.
