Reapplying to Choate/St.Paul/Hotchkiss

I know why I didn't get into these schools, but I'm curious about the chances of getting into these schools as a sophmore.

Sophomore.

Sophomore.

Is it pronounced soph-more or soph-o-more? We don’t use those words over here, haha. Just year 9,10,11 and 12.
OP: I think it’s a bit harder (but not that much harder) to get in as a sophomore because there’s more spots for freshmen…

@kimstarjb - you say you know why you didn’t get in…what was the reason? Also, were you rejected or waitlisted? Generally, there are fewer spots for 10th graders, but fewer students apply, so that for most schools the per cent admitted ends up being about the same. But, the schools you mention have acceptance rates of 25% or less, so that makes it difficult for everyone!

St. Paul’s was over-accepted last year (the yield was higher than normal), but the problem was mostly with girls. So while they will accept fewer, it is Possible that a boy might find it easier as a sophomore.
